Canadian International School Celebrates 'Joy' at the Core Values Show

BANGALORE, September 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Canadian International School hosted a segment of its Core Values Show, an interactive talk-show themed assembly, that discusses one of the school's five Core Values. The entire elementary section gathered at the school's 500-seater auditorium, the Odeum, for the show on Wednesday afternoon.

The agenda of the show was to emphasize on the Core Value 'Joy'. The hosts, Mr. Martin Thomas, Elementary School Principal and Mr. Benjamin Bergstrand, Grade 5 teacher, chatted with special guest Miku Fedor, a professional soccer player from Bengaluru F.C. who spoke about the joy of doing what one loves for a career.

"The Core Values Show represents our school's dedication to ensuring learning at CIS is an engaging and meaningful experience for students," said Mr. Martin Thomas, Elementary School Principal. "We also hosted the World Premiere of our original Joy Music Video. The goal was to express ourselves using a video and inspire others about how fun technology and video editing can be. We also wanted to be role models to show students that we can always learn something new," Mr. Martin added.

"These shows are amazing at teaching values to the students . The kids love them and they are so inspirational," said Mrs. Blanka Ros, a parent at Canadian International School.

The Core Values Show at Canadian International School was created to re-envision how traditional assemblies are organised. The interactive talk show format brings in special guests, integrates videos, and involves the students with games to teach and reinforce the significance of the school's Core Values: Joy, Integrity, Respect, Caring, and Inspiration.
