After Round 1 of the competition, P.S. Senior Secondary School (Chennai), Bal Bharati Public School (Noida) and National Public School, HSR Layout (Bangalore) emerged as the Top 3 teams. Oakridge International School, Newton Campus (Hyderabad) and The Bishop's School, Camp (Pune) took 4th and 5th spots respectively.

The online mathematics contest conducted over a two day period has been hugely successful with schools and students alike, who view it as a great opportunity to benchmark their math skills against the best in the country.

Sridevi Kancharla, HOF Math and IBDP Math Facilitator at Oakridge International School, Newton Campus believes that Clash of Pi (piCirql) provides students with a platform for showcasing their logical and analytical skills. "It was an exciting opportunity for students with outstanding skills in mathematics to exhibit their talent and increase their self-esteem. Since it was an online competition and a self-paced learning program, students could participate from the comfort of their homes and do their best," said Kancharla.

The goal of Clash of Pi is to stimulate a passion for mathematics and engender healthy competition so students can push themselves to excel. Students feel enthused about an approach that is collaborative and competitive. "It was an enriching experience for me and the questions had a high standard. The format ensures that no one wins the competition by luck. Clash of Pi gives us the feel of a real life competitive exam," comments Arnav Aditya Singh, a Grade 9 student from National Public School, HSR Layout (Bangalore).

Round 2 of Clash of Pi is scheduled for November 18-19, 2017 and interested schools may contact the organizers at
